Living History Uniform and Accessories

Are you a new member of the St. Augustine Garrison who wants your own uniform, musket, or accoutrements?  This section is "suited" for you.  Though the Castillo de San Marcos NM has uniforms on hand to lend out to volunteers who are engaged in living history activities at the fort, there are restrictions that disallow the use of these items for off-site purposes and functions.  New members of the garrison may find it much more suitable to obtain their own uniforms and uniform items so that they can participate in these off-site events.  Below are a series of links designed to inform volunteers about estimated costs and contacts for reputable sutlers (vendors).

Revised Garrison Uniform Standards - FINAL - Posted 01/07/2009

Uniform Pricing and Costs - The basics for new members which provides an estimated cost of basic uniform items and costs from reputable sutlers.

Leather Gear - Information and estimated costs for leather manufactured items for the fusilier (musketeer).  Leather items include the basic sword belt with hangers for the sword and bayonet (Marco Warren - $) , cartridge box (Marco Warren - $50), bayonet and scabbard (Jon Williams - $50), musket sling, and frizzen stall (Jon Williams, Marco Warren, Marty Syken - Various prices).

Suppliers / Sutlers - An index of reputable vendors approved by the Spanish Garrison who can provide you with all or some uniform items at reasonable cost.

Weapons - All active and paid-up members in good standing with the Garrison who have a complete uniform are qualified to receive special wholesale pricing on select muskets.
